HODGETTS ESTATES have started works on the second building at their flagship CORE 42 Tamworth development scheme. The Core 3 building of around 160,170 sqft will be built to a high grade specification including 12m to underside of haunch, 14 dock level loading doors, 2 level access loading doors, 50 m deep yard and 2 storey office accommodation.
Core 42 is a prime Midland’s location adjacent to Birch Coppice and benefits from being within 0.5 miles of Maritime Transport’s state-of-the-art Birmingham Intermodal Freight Terminal (BIFT) and 0.5 miles from Junction 10 M42 near Tamworth.
In an increasingly popular logistics market, the Midlands remains high in demand as a location for both big box warehouse and small urban logistics assets. Core 3 will be the second building to be completed at the site with the 106,000 sqft Core 2 building already occupied.
Edward Hodgetts, Development Director at Hodgetts Estates, adds: “Following the submission of a speculative planning application in October 2017, we quickly established a relationship with M&G Real Estate as a funder for the unit. The investor demand is testament to the prime location and high quality product on offer at Core 42 and we look forward to working with M&G Real Estate to deliver a highly successful building.”
Avison Young and MWRE are letting agents for the Core 3 building with JLL and Avison Young agents for the remaining site.
