Greencore PLC take 160,562 sq ft at Core 42

1st March 2020 – Greencore PLC has taken a 160,562 sqft unit at Hodgetts Estates’ Core 42 Business Park near Tamworth on a 10 year lease. The facility was speculatively developed by Hodgetts Estates for M&G Real Estate and reached practical completion ahead of programme in early 2019.

Core 42 is a new prime Midlands logistics hub adjacent to Birch Coppice, within 0.5 miles of Maritime Transport’s state-of-the-art Birmingham Intermodal Freight Terminal (BIFT) and 0.5 miles from Junction 10 M42 near Tamworth.

This is the second building to be occupied at Core 42 with Bond International taking the 105,000 sq ft Core 2 building in 2018. Core 42 now has a further 17 acres ready for development and a mid-box scheme comprising 30,000 sq ft, 20,000 sq ft, and 15,000 sq ft units for delivery later in 2020.

Edward Hodgetts said, “The development of this high specification building fit with the fund’s strategy to create prime buildings in strategic locations that meet occupier demand. There were a number of occupiers seriously looking at the building which is testament to the prime location and quality of product on offer.
